My stats took off, but meh, they were from “responses”

¡31! :-)

I thought Medium was showing me stats from my stories. I thought my last article was interesting enough to gain some pennies with it. But Medium shows stats for stories and responses.

I’m new on Medium. I still hadn’t noticed that stats showed visits from the response, so I started looking for the article that brought more visits than average. I didn’t find it, so I thought it was a glitch: “tomorrow it will work, and I will find my magic article”, I said to myself.

Today is tomorrow, and I discover the truth: no one has read the article (it’s ok). Instead, some people have read a response in a Zulie Rane article. “Nice job, thanks for sharing”, I wrote to her:

More than 40 visits comes from “Responses”. Yuhu.

Did you know stats shows visits from responses?

I’m learning English, so I thought I didn’t understand the rules. I look again and I have the solution to my little problem: I was reading only the first sentence:

A little scroll down and there it is:

However, if I look at the “views” definition, I still believe the stats are only for stories.

I don’t know if there is a way to filter visits without responses stats, but I would have liked to find this information.

I hope this little mistake helps you.
